@BBCPolitics Also there are factories across the Midlands geared up for massive scale garment production. Giving them specs for gowns and masks would not have been impossible and would have allowed targeted delivery of PPE right off the workbench. Why weren't they utilised?

@BBCPolitics He is on the wrong side of this argument and when it comes out in the wash, the stain of this complete misuse of tax payers money will be on their characters forever. At the least he should be saying a review will be conducted.
@BBCPolitics Remember all the stories of UK businesses with manufacturing capability or huge stockpiles of PPE and offering it at cost price for the national effort but being totally ignored and shocked that no one in Government would even talk to them? Well we know why now #ToryCorruption
