A Pennsylvania House panel narrowly advanced a measure Wednesday aimed at giving the Republican-controlled legislature the power to draw districts for electing appellate court judges in the state , a major shift away from the current statewide contests.
What is known today as the Liberty Bell was cast in 1751 to be hung in the new steeple of the State House (Independence Hall). This letter from Isaac Norris II (oversaw the construction of the State House) to Wm. Charles in England served as the order for the Bell. #OnlyAtHSP
