I don't think the GOP #Insurrection was just pointless
If they had successfully neutralized only 12 House democrats (rendered them unable to vote...), then the remaining House would be majority GOP
Then any absurd GOP electoral challenge could end in a different result (Trump)

Imagine if, after 9-11, one political party took the side of Al Qaeda, minimizing their crimes at every turn.
