GOP Sen. John Barrasso slams President Biden’s climate executive order, rejoining the Paris Accords: “The Paris Climate Agreement is based on the fantasy that climate change is America's fault.”

This all comes during a time when our economy is already struggling from the global pandemic. I am introducing the POWER Act because we can’t afford reckless, unilateral actions like this.

President Biden's executive actions to halt the Keystone XL pipeline and rejoin the Paris agreement will raise energy prices, destroy American jobs, and hurt our country’s competitiveness.
1 million jobs lost by 2022
The Biden Administration’s decision to ban oil and gas drilling is an affront to American workers and families.
This isn’t a plan to defeat coronavirus and rebuild our economy.
No American should have their job “sacrificed.”
Not now.
Not ever.
No American should have their job “sacrificed” – Not now. Not ever.
President Biden’s war on America’s energy producers - and the jobs they create - shows he's more interested in appeasing the radical left than in helping America’s workers and families.

.@SenJohnBarrasso to @JenGranholm on banning oil, gas, and coal leasing & permitting on federal lands: “A long-term ban on oil and gas leasing would cost 62,000 jobs in New Mexico, 33,000 jobs in Wyoming, and 18,000 jobs in Colorado.”
Circumventing Congress and enacting Executive Orders harmful to American lives is not a display of cooperation or unity. My full statement regarding @POTUS’ climate Executive Actions today:
The CDC has found that in-person learning can be conducted safely with precautions in place. Will the Biden admin listen to the science & safely get children back in classrooms or will they listen to the teachers' unions, who refuse to go back to work?
Today marks the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
On International #HolocaustRemembranceDay, #WeRemember the millions of victims of the Holocaust and reaffirm our commitment to never forgetting their stories.
Today marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
We honor the memory of the more than 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the countless others who endured immeasurable suffering at the hands of the Nazi regime.
#NeverForget
We will never forget the millions of lives lost as a result of the Nazi regime’s horrific crimes during the Holocaust. As we recognize International #HolocaustRemembranceDay, let us continue to stand united against anti-Semitism, oppression, and intolerance. #WeRemember
I won’t let the new administration devastate our economy by undermining energy production. The Biden administration’s policies will threaten thousands of jobs in Wyoming and around the country. They threaten our energy security. This makes no sense for America.
It’s critical that @JenGranholm demonstrates she’s dedicated to all forms of American energy. America needs a broad energy mix that includes renewable sources, nuclear power, & yes, traditional fuels like coal, natural gas, and oil.
Since his first day in office, @POTUS has signed dozens of executive actions without consulting Congress.
This is no way to legislate. I am deeply concerned about the impact these decisions will have on our country.

A freeze on oil & gas leases on federal lands will kill nearly 1 MILLION jobs, undermine national security & eliminate millions in revenue for Montana counties.
Chuck Schumer is playing with fire. By calling on @POTUS to declare a climate emergency, he is trying to muzzle Congress. @SenSchumer wants the president to go it alone & produce more punishing regulations, raise energy costs, and kill even more American jobs.
