Thatched roofed shelters and paddy straws are the part of winter drills, which is liked by ungulates including barking deers. Zoo keepers play a crucial role in making lives of animal comfortable in the adverse weather conditions. #Deers #enrichments
5 types of deers are found in Terai jungles. This is one of the prominent ones. They are one of the favourite food of tigers because of their big size. Prefers woodlands than grasslands and lives in small herds or sometimes alone. Can you name this deer? #deers #TeraiTales

These beautiful eyes belong to a bush frog named after friends, PK Utthaman the eminent photographer& KV Utthaman a senior forest officer. The beautiful silver & ebony ocular venation marks the Utthaman’s Bush Frog. You decide if it is the most spectacular eye that I have posted!
Nature is beautifully layered and intricately designed. It’s coding and programming have taken millions of years and human life of a fistful years is too short to gaze all it’s magnanimous bounty.

Not able to read behaviours of this leopard. Behaving strangely. People are not behaving better though. Videos circulating since evening. From HP.
This is possible in case of hand reared animals. Needs further investigation. The trend of keeping wild animals as pet can result in such unusual recoveries or surprising sightings. Unfortunate and worrisome.

A bird species may take years to identify a plant whose leaves can be used for making her nest. So extinction of a plant can take away a species of a bird along.
Nature is a complex web and things are inter-dependent so every blade of grass matters.

#India🇮🇳 is home to 75% of the world's tiger population! Efforts of officers like Ramesh Kumar Pandey of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve help the Tiger to flourish. Congratulations for getting @UNEP's 2019 Asia Environmental Enforcement Awards for fighting transboundary environmental crime.
Thanks for the honour @UNEP. Overwhelmed. Humbled. Grateful to each and everyone.
